HRE Wheels Attends Luftgekühlt 5
In the Porsche vernacular, Luftgekühlt represents all the air-cooled cars in the manufacturer’s history, from the Pre-A 356 through the 993 model line, which ended in 1998. This year, HRE Wheels attended Luftgekühlt 5 at the unique Ganahl lumber yard in Torrance, a suitable environment considering the original Porsche factory was a sawmill in Austria.
The brainchild of two-time Le Mans class winner Patrick Long and noted Southern California creative director Howie Idelson, this event did not disappoint - vintage Porsches tucked away behind lumber machines, and wooden stacks were a pleasant surprise at every turn.
